La journée constructive type

Pour ces vacances, j'ai instauré le principe de la journée constructive. Me connaissant, j'étais bien parti pour faire un mois de glande totale, voire de vraie louse authentique... Et sachant que j'allais probablement regretter ça à la rentrée, je me suis imposé un emploi du temps strict et inflexible.

Bon là ça faisait quelques jours que je l'ignorais, mais c'est reparti pour un tour. Au programme :

La journée constructive type

9h -> 9h30 : Petit déjeuner
9h30 -> 10h30 / 11h : Russe ou Finnois
10h30 / 11h -> 12h : Louse

12h -> 14h : Repas

14h -> 15h30/16h : Piano
15h30/16h -> 17h : Trucs impératifs / réviser code de la route
17h -> 19h : Louse constructive
19h -> 23h : Repas + film
23h -> 23h15 : Douche
23h15 -> 2h : Louse/Lecture/Film...

Voilà. C'est beau hein ? Louse constructive, en fait, ça n'a de la louse que le nom, vu que à la fin il faut avoir créé quelque chose, ou continué un projet. En ce moment, c'est programmation, et composition (au piano... une nouvelle idée, on verra où ça m'ammennera). Bref, comme ça j'échappe à la léguminisation habituelle des vacances.

The standard constructive day

For these holidays, I established the principle of constructive day. Knowing myself, I was ready to spend a month doing nothing (loafing about, says the dictionnary, why not...), even maybe genuine "lose". OK, an explanation for english speakers. We french folks, or at least my circle of friends use the english verb "to lose" to mean loaf around with no goal, usually losing time to unneccessary and uninteresting things, or at least (since it can be "Wikipedia lose") without a tangible result afterwards. I can be fun or enjoyable, but at the end, it's hard to show what income we got. So it's pretty much like having lost your time. Worse situations are "to bad" (bader, in our French dialect) : the same, but with obvious loss of time combined to huge boredom. Doing stupid things *and* being bored, this is a *bad* situation. Ergo the name.

Soooo, where was I ? Yeah, a month of holidays could be a genuine month of lose. And knowing that I would probably regret this when going back to school, I established a strict planning. Well, right now, it has been a few days since I last followed it, but I'm back on it.

The standard constructive day :

9h -> 9h30 : Breakfast
9h30 -> 10h30 / 11h : Russian or Finnish
10h30 / 11h -> 12h : Lose

12h -> 14h : Lunch

14h -> 15h30/16h : Piano
15h30/16h -> 17h : Must be done stuff / learning traffic law
17h -> 19h : Constructive lose
19h -> 23h : Dinner + film
23h -> 23h15 : Shower
23h15 -> 2h : Lose/Reading/Film...

Here. Nice heh ? Constructive lose, actually isn't lose at all, since in the end, you must have created something, or continued a project. Right now, it's programming, and composing (at the piano... a new idea, we'll see where it leads me). To sum it up, this is how I avoid usual holidays vegetablisation.

Le début du changement ?

Dell commence à vendre des ordinateurs de bureau et portables sans Windows pré installé, et avec Ubuntu GNU/Linux à la place. Il me semble que la réglementation impose aux vendeurs de proposer des ordinateurs sans système pré installés, vu que cela représente un coût supplémentaire pas forcément voulu (et non, il y a des gens qui ne veulent pas de Windows comme système d'exploitation). C'est la première fois que j'entends cette règle appliquée.

Dell Ubuntu

Un bon signe ? Apparemment, au niveau du prix ça peut être plus ou moins cher, selon les configs. Où est le bug ?

De toutes façons, le moins cher c'est toujours d'acheter les bouts, de monter soi même, et d'installer un système gratuit dessus... Mais l'initiative est louable, surtout que c'était en réponse à la demande des utilisateurs. On ne peut qu'espérer que ça va prendre de l'ampleur.

Vive le logiciel libre ! ;)

The beginning of a change ?

Dell starts to sell destkop and laptop computers without Windows preinstalled, and with Ubuntu GNU/Linux instead. I think french laws have sellers to propose their computers without a preinstalled operating system, since it's something you pay for, and you don't always want (nope, not everyone uses Windows !). It's the first time I hear this rule is applied.

A good omen ? Apparently, the price can be higher or lower, depending on the configs. Where is the bug ?

Anyway, it's always cheaper to buy the pieces, mount it yourself, and install a free operating system on it... But the initiative is good, especially since it was an answer to users' requests. We can only hope it will grow more important.

Long life to free/libre software !

Bon, comme vous pouvez le voir, je ne suis plus très porté sur le postage de bêtises (ni même de pas bêtises). Les temps changent, et les volontés aussi. Voilà, j'avoue que sur la fin, je me forçais plus qu'autre chose. J'ai pris beaucoup de plaisir à raconter ma vie pendant ces quelques années, et ça m'a occupé l'esprit à des moments où j'en avais besoin, parce que la vie était pas forcément super marrante, ou pour partager ma joie le reste du temps.

Mais fort heureusement, ma vie est maintenant bien remplie et pleine de bonheur. Tellement, en fait, que je ne pense plus tellement à la raconter. D'autant plus que dessiner trois tête de Tenoch et quelques mots prend beaucoup plus de temps que je ne le voudrais. Donc, la conclusion évidente et redoutée (vraiment ?), c'est que je fais une pause à durée non déterminée...

Ou plutôt, je la rend officielle, vu qu'elle a déjà bien commencé. En fait, non, c'est pas vraiment une pause... C'est une sorte de désengagement. Je ne promets pas de poster, mais il est fort possible que je le fasse quand même si j'en ai envie. Et il est probable que ce soit pas dessiné, vu que je n'ai pas de scanner à l'école (et oui, c'est un prétexte, vu que je ne suis pas à l'école).

Donc voilà, finalement, nihil novi...

Well, you might notice I'm not that much in this posting thing. Time changes, will too. In the end, I really forced myself. I enjoyed a lot telling my life during these few years, and it kept my mind busy when I needed it, because life wasn't really super fun, or because I wanted to share my joy.

Happily, my life is now full and blissful. So much that I don't actually think about telling it. Furthermore, drawing three Tenoch's heads and a few words takes a lot more time than I'd like. So the obvious and feared (or is it ?), is that I now start a pause, whose lenght is unknown yet.

Or in fact, I make it official, since it has well started already. Or actually, no, it's not a pause... It's a kind of disengagement. I don't promise I'll post, but it is highly possibile that I did if I ever want to. And it's likely that I won't draw anymore, since I don't have a scanner at school (and yrp, it's a pretext, since I'm not at school right now).

So, really, nihil novi...
